Copy Magic: iOS App Lets You Copy Text Between Devices Without a Network

Cainta, Philippines – Ever been in a situation where you needed to share text or contact info to the person beside you but don’t want to go through the hassle of bluetooth pairing, connecting to Wifi or 3G? Copy Magic is an innovative application that lets you share text and contacts between nearby iOS devices without the use of any network. It even copies data while both devices are on airplane mode!

Copy Magic is easy to use and works by just copying a piece of text to the iPhone’s clipboard from your Notes, Email or any app. Once Copy Magic is opened, the text is automatically converted to a special QR code, available for sharing to another device. When this code is scanned by the other device, Copy Magic instantly copies the text to the other phone’s clipboard, ready for pasting to any other app.

Unlike other applications that use 3G, Wifi, bluetooth or even sound to transmit data between phones, CopyMagic does not depend on any network or internet connection nor does it require messy and lengthy Bluetooth pairing procedures.

Other features include:
* Copy contacts between phones, and add them straight to the phone’s address book
* Copy phone numbers and instantly call or SMS the phone number
* Create a QR code for your contact details via the “My Card” feature, and you can easily share your information to others

“For business professionals, this app is revolutionary for those times where they need to share data between phones, but they are roaming or are in locations where a network is unreliable or non-existent”, said Sherwin Sowy, Founder of Bespoke Apps.

Other Bespoke Apps mobile applications include Contact Sender, a top application that has generated more than 500,000 downloads to date, Scary Alarms, and other notable applications such as SMS Templates and Encrypt SMS, an application that encrypts SMS with military grade encryption.

Device Requirements:
* 3/4Gen iPhone, iPad, or 3/4Gen iPod touch
* Requires iOS 5.0 or later
* 2.9 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Copy Magic 1.0 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Utilities category. An in-app purchase option to remove ads is available for $1.99 USD.

Android apps coming to Windows Phones?

There’s a weird rumor going around the Interwebs, suggesting that Microsoft may allow Android apps to run on Windows Phones. Something like that would quickly increase the app count for Microsoft’s mobile platform, but there are downsides as well. For one thing, this could entice developers to skip “regular” native development for Windows Phone. It’s a tricky choice. On one hand, the Redmond giant could benefit in the short term to have all those Android apps and games available on Windows Phone handsets. On the other hand, they could pretty much face extinction from the mobile game, with Windows Phone pretty much turning into yet another Android launcher. So no, we don’t think Microsoft will allow this to happen. At the same time, it may not stop other companies from pursuing this opportunity. Think BlueStacks, the company that already allows Android apps to run on Windows computers. Perhaps these same guys/gals can enable the same functionality on Windows Phones. We doubt the Redmon...
