Nokia 808 PureView meets Nissan GT-R

Yes you read right, Megapixel meets Horsepower! As a big last hoorah before giving my Nokia 808 PureView loaner back to Nokia, I was extremely lucky to spend a bit of time again with a Nissan GT-R (HUGE thanks to Richard Haderer!)! Two big worlds collide here: On one side the Nokia 808 PureView, the new undisputed king in mobile photography, Damian Dinning’s 41-megapixel masterpiece with it’s fantastic PureView technology. On the other side, the Nissan GT-R. The most underrated supercar, with 550 horsepowers and probably the best acceleration since a starting plane. Stomping the foot on the accelerator is like getting kicked in the seat by a horse, with a fantastic sound as company. Feast your eyes on these PureView-GT-R-images and make sure to check them out in full size on my Flickr channel by clicking on them! And here’s a short video, for good measure: Michael Hell, Austria, Mobile Phone Freak, social networked Fella, down to earth and always up for new Challenges. Also blogging ...

Nexus 7 users reporting touchscreen responsiveness issues

Google’s Nexus 7 is one of the hottest selling Android tablets right now owing to its attractive price point but it seems that Asus might have cut more than a few corners to make it cheap enough. Users are reporting a whole host of problems and a majority of them seem to involve the touchscreen. Geek.com’s Ryan Whitwam recently put up a video showing a decidedly inconsistent touch experience with repeated loss of touch connection. According to Ryan, this occurrence is intermittent and varies in severity. In addition users have complained about an issue where the glass lifts up on one corner of the tablet. Heat radiated by the processor is believed to be a cause for the issue but it is not known for certain yet. During the large scale production of any device, there are bound to be a few units with problems so this could very well be limited to just a few units. Are you currently using a Nexus 7 and facing issues with it ? We’d love to hear from you in the comments below. [Via - Pocket...

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 advertisement leaks online

A 30 second advertisement showing off the multitasking capabilities of the Galaxy Note  in addition to other features is now available online. A modeling agency, Step Management, has uploaded the video online showing the tablet being used in a business environment. Unfortunately the video does not shed light on the release date, specifications or the price. The video focusses on the tablet being used with a variety of apps like Multiscreen and Shape Match to create a pie chart from a free hand drawing. The specs of the tablet are expected to include the 1.4Ghz quad core processor from the Galaxy SIII along with 1GB RAM. The 10.1? tablet is believed to include a slot for the S Pen. With the upcoming Samsung event scheduled for 15th August, we expect the Note 10.1 to be a major contender for the products to be launched. Video embedded below. Google’s in-browser weather feature comes to tablets

If you search for weather forecasts and conditions fairly often on your smartphone you might have noticed how Google displays the latest conditions depending on your location right in the browser itself. It has now extended this nifty addition to tablet browsers as well. Web weather works entirely in the browser and can be brought in the exact same way as on smartphones. Do ensure that GPS is enabled on your tablet and then type out weather on Google.com. You will be presented with a 10-day forecast along with temperature, precipitation, humidity and wind-speed information. The tool is entirely interactive and you can slide along the timeline to see more information.
