You can catch the Microsoft MWC Monday event online

Microsoft is all set for the MWC 2015. The company has just revealed it will be holding a press conference Monday, March 2 early in the morning. More specifically, the Redmond company will be sharing its new products 8:30am CET (that's 1 March 23:30PST). Microsoft is quite probably going to focus on the Lumia 635 with bumped specs. The Lumia 1330 is also expected to make a debut. It is tipped to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1GB of RAM, and 5.7" 720p display, and 32GB of onboard storage. The device's main camera is said to be a 14MP PureView unit, coupled with a 5MP front-facing snapper. We won't be surprised if the Redmond company reveals its future plans for its mobile software and services. Recently, Microsoft launched an Android tablet keyboard, so we may be in for a wild ride on this front. Microsoft's live stream follows those of HTC and Samsung. They're happening on Sunday, so be sure to mark them on your calendars. Source View the original artic...

Make Me Smile Monday #34

Time to take a break from the real world and see what's been making me smile this week I like Mondays. Yes, I know that’s controversial, but it means I get a chance to share some gems like these from around the interwebs. Grab a hot drink, sit back and enjoy. How cool is that pic? Tim Tadder took a bunch of bald dudes, some buckets of water and clever lighting and created some amazing photographs. Water wigs…who would have thought it? Made me smile, that’s for sure. Who needs cooking lessons with actual messy food and actual oil, why not just use a virtual spatula and virtual steak and shrimp? This makes me smile, because – really – what’s the actual point? Surely when you’re cooking a steak you know when it’s done without a virtual guide telling you. It’s undoubtedly very clever, but for me (and this is only my opinion, of ...

Make Me Smile Monday #33 (or #1 if you’re new)

Regular readers of Nokia Connects will know that Monday is a time where I take a break from unboxings, reviews and photo galleries and bring you a taste of what’s been making me grin over the past seven days. So, get ready to chuckle or chortle, smirk or smile, grin or grimace. It was a tough choice for top spot this week, but my love for Lego just edged this story to the head of the class. While the athletes were running, jumping and throwing in London recently, members of the public were engaged in a Herculean task of their own. They managed to create a map of the world using *one million* Lego bricks. In two weeks. Complete with landmarks and mountain ranges, this is a true mark of human endeavour (over 4,000 people were involved) and whilst they didn’t go faster, higher, stronger, they certainly went bigger. Bigger than ever before, and it made me smile (hat tip to Glenn Letham for that one). ***** That story that was edged into second place? The mobile phone throwing world record...
