Apple iPhone 3GS now available from Aircel for Rs. 9999

Aircel has announced that the Apple iPhone 3GS is now available from them for just Rs. 9,999 with unlimited data usage for a year with Advance rental plan of Rs. 3,000 for post-paid customers. After a year customers can shift to Simple Value 499 Plan (in 2G circles), or 399 Smart PI plan (in 3G circles). In 3G circles customers can shift any existing Aircel plan after a year. Last July Aircel and Airtel launched the 8GB version of the iPhone 3GS with money back offers for Rs. 19,999 before it went on sale from retailers across India. Aircel iPhone 3GS Postpaid Advance rental Plan Free minutes/month (Local+National) In 3G (speeds up to 3.6 Mbps) circles, after 2GB speed would be throttled to 128 kbps. The iPhone 3GS is available from Aircel Stores. They have not announced any prepaid plans yet. LG Optimus L5 launched in India for Rs. 13199

 LG has launched the Optimus L5 in India from the L-Style series of phones that was unveiled at MWC 2012 . Other L-Style series of phones, Optimus L3 went on sale in India in May and the Optimus L7 was officially launched in June. LG has officially launched the Optimus L3 in India today. The Optimus L5 lies between L3 and L7 that has 4.0-inch (320×480 pixels) Capacitive Touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich with Optimus UI 3.0. It is powered by 800 MHz Processor and has 5MP auto-focus camera with flash. It is just 9.6mm thick and has 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory with microSD. It has quick memo that enables users to jot notes on the screen using a finger that also lets users share it with social networks or via text messages and e-mails. Qualcomm Q3 2012 results out

Qualcomm just reported its 3rd quarter fiscal 2012 results and profits have soared year on year owing to continued strong demand for 3G and 4G connected hardware. High sales and strong yearly growth have contributed to a bottom line of $4.63 billion in revenue. Meanwhile net income is reported at $1.21 billion. MSM chipsets were the biggest contributors with 141 million units sold. Though sales were reported to be down 7% over the last quarter, the YoY growth is noted to be 18%. CEO Dr. Paul E. Jacob said that the sales drop was due to upcoming devices lined up for the holiday season. They launched their first BlackBerry Premium Store in Delhi in April and in Gurgaon in May and in Bangalore recently. These two stores located at The Future Shop, 7, Palladium, Phoenix Mills, Lower Parel and The Future Shop, 325, Nawab Building, Dr. D.N. Road –Fort respectively. ZTE N880E running Android 4.1 launched in China

ZTE has launched ZTE N880E in China. It is the first smartphone to come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) in China. It has 4.0-inch (480 x 80o pixels) capacitive touchscreen display and is powered by 1GHz Qualcomm processor. It has metallic finish and comes with 3.2MP Auto focus camera and is just 10.4mm thick. The ZTE N880E was originally launched in May 2012 with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and has sold more than 1 million units since then. It has 512 MB RAM, 4GB internal memory and 32GB expandable memory with microSD. The connectivity features include, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G (CDMA / EVDO Rev.A), and GPS / aGPS. The Optimus Vu is a 5-inch phone from LG which puts it in the same league as the Samsung Galaxy Note. The screen is one of the main highlights of the device and it packs a 1024x768px resolution.
