LG G Pro 2 is officially official; Here are 6 things you should know about it

Just as we expected, LG has officially announced the G Pro 2 in Korea. The successor to the Optimus G Pro is one of the best devices ever made, with some features even the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is missing. To help you cut through the clutter, we wanted to highlight the G Pro 2's key selling point. Here 6 things you should know about it: 1. Processor / Memory The G Pro 2 rocks Qualcomm’s potent Snapdragon 800 quad-core chip clocked at 2.26GHz with Adreno 330 graphics and full 3GB of RAM. In addition, it comes with 16 or 32 GB of internal storage that is further expandable with microSD cards. 2. Screen This big boy packs a 5.9-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display with slim bezel of just 3.3mm. This in turn provides the industry-leading screen-to-frame ratio of 77.2 percent! 3. Ask AC: Should I switch phones because updates?

+Russ Clark asks, I have a G2 and it is a great device, but this attention by Moto towards the Moto X makes me wonder if I should sell my G2 and switch. I know you used the G2 for a bit, what input would you have about that idea? We're hearing this a lot. Not necessarily about the G2 or the Moto X , but anytime a phone makes the news because the manufacturer is doing something right, people get interested and start thinking about switching. While the people who make these phones probably love seeing and hearing about this, does it really make sense? Consider why you bought your G2 . Chances are you really liked what it had to offer just a handful of weeks ago when you bought it. Nothing has changed. It's still fast, still has the best camera on any Android phone, and still has a killer LCD to look at it all. The Nexus 5 having Google Now built into the launcher, or the Moto X getting KitKat   before anyone else didn't change any of that. Soon, the Moto X will sto...

Posted in: iOS, Mobile software 16 hours ago by Kyle We already know everything there is to know about the upcoming iOS 6 and let’s face it – it’s not going to be the jump Apple is trying to convince us it is. Everything is pretty much the same, with a few tweaks here and there, an overdue Facebook integration and extended Siri functionality. The major new feature with the iOS 6 is the new Maps app, now with TomTom map data and, of course, the addition of navigation. Well, people do use Siri and navigation for sure, but those people have also been using this same tired iOS interface for 6 years now. They need something new, refreshing and they are not getting it this year. Joost van der Ree published a few inspiring ideas that could easily fit into iOS, boosting the user experience along the way. Some of them are so obvious that makes you wonder why Apple didn’t come up with them in the first place. But maybe they have? Here is the video describing the several new concepts: I am part...
