Effective Alarm, an Alarm that Makes Sure Users Wake Up in the Morning

Miami, Florida – Tokkao today is pleased to introduce Effective Alarm 1.0 in the App Store, an alarm that will not stop until the user is fully awake. The difference between this alarm and other alarms is that this alarm will engage its users in a set of activities directed towards increasing their awareness in the morning. When we wake up, our mind is still in a restful state. As soon as we are engaged in active reading and problem solving, even when it is as simple as reading instructions and ordering numbers, our mind becomes fully awake. It is Effective Alarm’s job to make sure the users are engaged long enough in these activities until they are fully awake. Simplicity is the best form of sophistication. As the Screenshot 1 shows, Effective Alarm features a simple and professional looking user interface. It has the familiarity of the regular iPhone alarm yet it improves on the ability to really wake up its users. The alarm is fully configurable, adding settings to set defaults tun...

Festival app makes it easier to go with the Flow

As a first-time visitor to Helsinki, I’ve heard the buzz around Finland’s capital: Flow Festival Helsinki is back with none other than Björk closing the show on August 12. As one of the most anticipated festivals on this or any side of the Baltic, it has a killer line-up with big-name American artists like The Black Keys and Bon Iver, as well as Swedish sensations Lykke Li and Miike Snow and a long list of Finnish bands I can’t wait to check out. There’s also a wide range of art, architecture showcases, an urban garden, discussions with artists, a variety of delicious food vendors and, of course, plenty of tasty beverages. In preparing for such a multi-faceted festival, I was worried that I would have to print out my line-up, a map and be that sad tourist fumbling through a ridiculous amount of paper. Thanks to Nokia, the main sponsor at Flow, I won’t have to. The Nokia x Flow app keeps me up to date on all the happenings at Flow. The best part? It’s available for every major phone ...

Sony Xperia GX makes an FCC appearance

Sony’s upcoming Xperia GX just made an appearance at the FCC revealing some more details of what could be Sony’s next flagship device. The specifications are said to include a Qualcomm S4 dual core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The display is a 4.6? 720p HD panel. We’re really enamored by the curved back of the phone and think this might end up being one of the best looking Android handsets out there. FCC documentation has revealed that the handset will include a pentaband radio which is still relatively rare in the Android world. The phone will be capable of running on both the T-Mobile and AT&T HSPA+ 4G network. Click the source to check out the documentation yourself.
