Smart Soundtracker App Makes Your Videos More Fun & Memorable with Music

Northridge, California – SmartSound, the world’s leading provider of royalty free music and soundtrack solutions announced their new iOS app, called Smart Soundtracker, which allows consumers to automatically add perfectly edited soundtracks to the videos they shoot on their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. The app automatically edits the included and available soundtracks to fit the exact video length while allowing the user to adjust the volume levels of their original video and the new soundtrack. The resulting video can be shared from the app via Facebook, YouTube and E-mail.

When using Smart Soundtracker, customers simply select a video from their Camera Roll and instantly watch their video with a soundtrack. The soundtrack is edited automatically, ending the music exactly when the video ends and can easily change to a different soundtrack with a swipe on the screen. An optional fade-out ending is automatically added to the video to enhance the viewer experience by ending the video and soundtrack perfectly together.

Customers can also separately adjust the volume of the original video and the new soundtrack from silent to full volume to create the right balance. A remix button allows users to try different mixes of the same song to find the best arrangement for their video before saving or sharing the video. Built-in sharing options include Save to Camera Roll, Send via E-mail, Post to Facebook and Upload to YouTube.

The Smart Soundtracker app, available exclusively through the Apple iTunes App Store, costs only $0.99 for the app and an included variety pack of 5 soundtracks. It includes a permanent consumer-use license to use the music in any non-commercial personal videos. The app is designed for the iPhone and iPod touch, but can also run on the iPad. (Note: Device must support video recording to the Camera Roll)

Upon release, an additional 27 categorized soundtrack packs are also available via in-app purchase; $0.99 each for 3-soundtrack packs, or $1.99 for 6-soundtrack packs. Pack titles include Olympic Dreams, Perfect Pets, Cute Kids, Adrenaline Junkie, Reflective Moments, Big Movie Trailers, Hijinks, Skate Rat, Tropical Vacation and several more, including several packs from Indie Artists featuring soundtracks with lyrics.

“The goal of Smart Soundtracker is to automatically make your videos more fun and memorable,” said Kevin Klingler, President of SmartSound. “It allows consumers to post videos to social media which are much more interesting and fun to watch. The addition of a perfectly fit soundtrack adds whatever kind of emotional basis you want for your movie, making it far more enjoyable for your friends and family to watch.”

The resulting soundtrack-enhanced videos are only for personal use, and for uploading to Facebook and YouTube. For commercial uses, including videos for YouTube Partners, customers should go to SmartSound’s commercial-use customizable royalty free music at SmartSound Software online.

Yup, just as we’ve told you before, Ubuntu is coming to a Meizu smartphone near you. We still don’t have the official announcement, but details keep coming.,, The latest information (or that’s confirmation) comes from Meizu Russia, which says that Meizu engineers are in fact working on an Ubuntu version of the Meizu MX3. The work is apparently still underway to make things stable, and in the meantime they [engineers] are also working on a new version of Android-based Flyme ROM for both the Meizu MX2 and MX3, adding that Ubuntu won’t be released until the updated Flyme ROM is launched. It is said that Meizu will use Ubuntu as its ticket to the US market later in the year. At that time, we may also see either a revamped MX3 model or the whole new MX4 smartphone that will sport even better hardware under the hood.
