LG Optimus 4X HD and Optimus L5 launched in India

Although it was first expected to be out in India in May, the LG Optimus 4X HD is only now ready to officially become available there. LG has presented the handset in Mumbai, saying customers would be able to find it in stores across the country “soon”, for 34,990 INR (about $634 or €516). The Optimus 4X HD is LG’s current flagship smartphone. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and features a 4.7 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels, quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. Another Optimus that’ll be available in India shortly is the LG Optimus L5. This also runs Android 4.0 ICS, but it’s an entry-level smartphone, featuring a 4 inch HVGA display, 800MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 5MP rear camera, and 4GB of internal memory. Samsung’s Galaxy S III surpasses 10 million sales in less than two months

Samsung’s newest Android flagship smartphone — the Galaxy S III — has surpassed 10 million sales in less than two months after going on sale, selling at a rate predicted by the company just last month, Samsung president Shin Jong-kyun (JK Shin) has revealed. The Samsung executive shared the milestone with Korean new agency Yonhap News (without giving exact numbers), which translates roughly into 190,000 Galaxy S III devices being sold each day and reaching the figure in less than half the time of its predecessor — the Galaxy S II. In June, Shin said that he expected the Galaxy S III to reach 10 million units sold in July, seeing an added boost as the handset went on sale in the US and other significant markets. Apple’s new iPad launches in China with short queues and no chaos

Apple product launches in China are renowned for being chaotic and rowdy but today the company began selling its new iPad in the country under rather unusual circumstances. Instead of being greeted by massive queues and anxious customers — as has become the norm — the Retina display equipped device has enjoyed a more muted and organised opening. Kyocera hydro Android smartphone

Boost Mobile will launch the new waterproof smartphone into its networks, the Kyocera Hydro. This handset should be available in the carrier’s stores starts August 3rd, 2012. Reportedly, this Kyocera mid-range smartphone is listed for priced at $129.99 no-contract (not incl. tax). So, the Boost’s Hydro is the first IPX5- and IPX7-rated water-proof Android-powered smartphone that doesn’t require a contract. The Kyocera Hydro is a waterproof device (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes), which was officially announced at early of May 2012 and comes with Tissue Conduction audio technology. Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, the Hydro boasts a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8655 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 2GB internal storage. HTC One S smartphone in Taiwan with 1.7GHz dual-core CPU

HTC has just launched its new mid-range Android smartphone, the HTC One S in its home market, Taiwan. Interesting point, this smartphone is comes with a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 (MSM8260) dual-core processor (instead a 1.5GHz CPU on its ‘original’ device).   Reportedly, other feature on the Taiwanese One S is remain unchanged including its 1,650 mAh battery, a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen display, 1GB of RAM, as well as WiFi 802.11b/g/n.
