PayAnywhere iOS App Gets a Performance Boost

Troy, Michigan – PayAnywhere, a leader in mobile point of sale solutions, today announced availability of the newest version of its popular mobile point of sale solution for iPhone(R), iPad(R) and iPod touch(R). The latest update to the PayAnywhere iOS app features boosted performance, enhanced Heat Map features and the ability to process hassle-free refunds in-app for greater transaction flexibility.

“Every feature update to the PayAnywhere app is a direct result of the valuable feedback we receive from our merchants,” said Marc Gardner, CEO of PayAnywhere. “With each release we aim to make enhancements that not only improve the look and feel of the app, but also make getting paid with PayAnywhere an even simpler and smoother experience. The app is packed with all the bells and whistles a merchant needs, coupled with 24/7 customer support, for the most feature-rich mobile POS solution available for merchants of any size.”

The app already delivers PayAnywhere merchants a number of highly sought after features, including landscape mode, the ability to add a custom tip at check out, and compatibility with cash drawers and AirPrint or Star thermal printers. The new version of the PayAnywhere iOS app has been improved with:

* A Performance Boost: A reorganized menu and better detection for Star printers equal an overall performance boost for the app.
* Revamped Heat Maps: PayAnywhere’s enhanced Heat Maps allow you to zoom in and out on regions and view individual or grouped transactions, providing merchants with greater visibility to where their sales are taking place.
* Merged Tip and Signature: Sales transactions are sped up with a new merged tip and signature screen. Customers simply add a tip and sign on a single screen, allowing merchants to help the next customer faster.
* Hassle-free Refunds: PayAnywhere now allows merchants more flexibility to issue refunds for specific items or to adjust the price on particular items from directly within the app.

Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices, PayAnywhere is the payment industry’s only enterprise-grade, “pay-as-you-go” mobile payment solution suited for any size merchant. With PayAnywhere there are no hidden fees; no setup, monthly or cancellation fees. Merchants using PayAnywhere enjoy fast payouts and a low 2.69% swiped transaction fee, with funds typically deposited in merchant accounts within two business days.

Setting up a PayAnywhere account is fast and easy. A merchant simply visits the Apple App Store(SM) to download the free PayAnywhere app, and follows the in-app instructions to sign up for the payment service and to receive the free card reader accessory via mail.

PayAnywhere is also available to merchants using Android(TM) phones and tablets and BlackBerry(R) smartphones.

We still don’t have the official announcement, but details keep coming.,, The latest information (or that’s confirmation) comes from Meizu Russia, which says that Meizu engineers are in fact working on an Ubuntu version of the Meizu MX3. The work is apparently still underway to make things stable, and in the meantime they [engineers] are also working on a new version of Android-based Flyme ROM for both the Meizu MX2 and MX3, adding that Ubuntu won’t be released until the updated Flyme ROM is launched. It is said that Meizu will use Ubuntu as its ticket to the US market later in the year. At that time, we may also see either a revamped MX3 model or the whole new MX4 smartphone that will sport even better hardware under the hood. As usual, we’ll be on the lookout for any news coming from the Ubuntu camp and let you know as soon as we have something new to add. Stay tuned… [Via: GizChina] Dusan has been...
